Edmonds Neighbourhood Resource Centre
HVAC Upgrade at Edmonds Neighbourhood Resource Centre (ENRC)
The ENRC is a community facility constructed in 1967 as an addition of the existing Edmonds Secondary School. It is heated by the boiler plant from Edmonds School consisting of 4 - 512 MBH natural-gas fired boilers. All the piping develops in the crawl space below the floor, so confined space protocol requirements had to be followed to complete the work.
The work consisted of:
UVs replacement: removal and disposal of 8 existing Unit Ventilators. Install of new 7 heating UV and one with cooling coil. Upgrade of heating distribution system with installation of VFD pump.
New DDC system: installation of actuators and control vales for main equipment in order to save energy and improve comfort. A new DDC system was installed.
New boiler room: design of new boiler room for next phase project, where a new boiler will be install to separate Edmonds Resource Centre from the School heating system.
