This project started with an Energy Optimization investigation with funding from BC Hydro which determined that the existing building control system was too old and lacked the required features to properly implement  control modifications required for achieving the project goals. It was agreed that the entire building control system should be replaced and E-Factor designed and implemented a new system. A detailed specification, tendering process, and subsequent installation and recommissioning of the DDC controls was done. A new Reliable Controls DDC system was installed.

The new programming, graphics, and optimum start sequences resulted in electrical and fuel savings of 30% to 40% respectively.
